HMI IRONWORKERS

HMI ironworkers are one of the most versatile pieces of fabricating equipment one could own today.  An 18 month limited warranty has been part of all HMI products for over the last twenty years.

BEST VALUE TODAY

For ease of use, operator safety, easy maintenance and dependability and the utmost in versatility, nothing matches an HMI ironworker.

FEATURES

DUAL CYLINDER DESIGN

Two person operation, press or punch end, operates separate and independent of the shear bar.  So one person can punch while another is shearing.

SAFE, SIMPLE, EFFICIENT, HEAVY DUTY DESIGN

Direct transfer of power.  Means fewer pins, clevises and bushings to wear out.

Ease of maintenance.  Fewer moving parts means less and easier maintenance.

Thicker press frames, means less tonnage per square inch is applied to the frames, so less deflection or alligatoring in press area.

Hydraulics are protected by a suction strainer and a return line filter.

All shearing stations are at a convenient working height.

LARGE PRESS BED DESIGN

Lets the user adapt to a wide variety of tooling.  The press bed is bolted on and can be easily removed.  Both sides of the press bed are surface ground.

LARGE PRESS THROAT DESIGN

Allows the user endless possibilities, with a wide variety of tooling.

2 and 4 POST DIE SETS

Free up larger, more expensive pieces of equipment, or keep from having to purchase that additional equipment.

28XX TOOLING

Used to punch shaped and large diameter holes up to 50 tons.

UNITIZED TOOLING

Individual self contained c-frame units that house various shapes and styles of punches and dies.  Alignment of the punch and dies is always correct.  These units can be set to punch one or multiple holes on various centers.

4-WAY BRAKE DIES

2', 3', and 4' brake sets are available.  Made of 1045 material to last.  Lower is a 4-way V-die opening, with openings of ¾", 1", 1½", and 2" openings.

LONG INFINITELY ADJUSTABLE STROKE

The press or punch end of an HMI ironworker has a 6", 8" or an 11" stroke, depending on the model, that is infinitely adjustable.  The stroke can be stopped and reversed at any point in its cycle.  These features allow your HMI ironwork to be adapted to an unlimited number of uses that no other ironworker can match.
